Jane Parkinson is one of the UK’s youngest award-winning wine writers and is currently a freelance wine journalist and presenter. She is wine editor at large for Restaurant magazine, the wine expert for Stylist magazine and the wine columnist for Tesco Magazine, but she also contributes to titles such as The Financial Times How To Spend It, Square Meal and Decanter.


As well as her written work, Jane also loves to talk about wine, and has been the wine expert for the BBC World Service and The Food Programme on BBC Radio 4. She regularly hosts wine tastings, courses and workshops for a range of consumer and trade audiences, and will be one of the wine experts at the BBC Good Food Show in London this December. She’s a judge in international competitions and was previously the Chair of Judges for the Rising Stars Trophy, a national competition in search of the best young sommelier and chef team in the UK.


Jane is also one of The Wine Gang, a group of five wine experts who host large consumer tastings around the UK and who review wines every month on their website thewinegang.com although she also has her own website janeparkinson.com on which she blogs, posts her published features, recommends wines and writes restaurant reviews.
